How My Dream Pizza Really Works
The systems, formulas and hidden multipliers that drive every coin in My Dream Pizza.
Idle Income Formula
Per-second income is calculated as: (Base recipe value × Active stations × Manager multiplier × Prestige multiplier). Multipliers stack multiplicatively, which is why a single prestige can outperform hours of grinding upgrades.
Offline Earnings Cap
By default, offline income is capped at 2 hours. Each Manager Rocco upgrade extends the cap by 15 minutes (max 4 hours). Watching one rewarded ad doubles the cap for the next session.
Prestige System
Prestige resets your coins, stations and recipes — but grants permanent 'Pizza Star' multipliers. Stars are earned based on lifetime coins at reset. The sweet spot is to prestige when your next upgrade costs ~10x your current per-hour income.
Star Rating
Your shop's star rating (1–5) affects passive customer spawn rate. Serving VIPs and Critics increases it; failing them or getting a Health Inspector violation drops it. A 5-star shop sees ~80% more customers than a 3-star shop.
Tip Multiplier Combo
Serving customers within 3 seconds of their order builds a 'Speedy Service' combo (up to ×5). The combo decays after 10 seconds of idle. Marco's tip-chance bonus stacks on top of the combo for huge spikes during rush hours.
Recipe Quality Tiers
Each recipe has Bronze → Silver → Gold quality, upgraded with rare ingredients earned from events. A Gold-tier Margherita is more profitable than a Bronze Truffle Special — quality outperforms variety.
Rush Hour Mechanics
Lunch and Dinner rushes triple customer spawn and double coin payout for 10 minutes of real time. Pre-baking 5–10 pizzas right before the rush is the single most effective income strategy in the game.
Ad Boosters
Watching a rewarded ad grants one of three buffs: 2x income for 1 hour, instant offline cap fill, or a free upgrade tier. The 2x income boost is the strongest — stack it with a rush hour for ~12x normal earnings.
Decorations & Cosmetics
Decorations are not purely cosmetic — each themed set grants a small global buff (typically +1–3% income or +5% tip chance). Complete sets unlocked from events provide the strongest stackable bonuses.
Pro Combo: The "Triple Stack"
The fastest way to grow your coin pile is to stack three multipliers at once:
- Wait for a Rush Hour to begin (2x payout).
- Watch a 2x income ad right before it starts.
- Maintain a 5x Speedy Service combo by serving non-stop.
Result: a 20x effective income multiplier for the duration of the rush — enough to skip an entire prestige tier in one session.
